Wide Lane Sports Grounds were opened in October 2005 by UoS Alumnus and Sports Broadcaster, John Inverdale. It is located opposite Parkway Railway Station and Southampton Airport. The 76 acre facility has been redeveloped in partnership with Eastleigh Borough Council and the Football Foundation.

 Facilities include:

• grass pitches for American football, baseball, cricket, football, lacrosse and rugby
• one sand-based artificial pitch for hockey and one rubber-crumb pitch for matches and training sessions in most field sports
• eight floodlit tennis courts
• a pavilion with 24 changing rooms, bar and meeting rooms
• parking for 240 cars

The Unilink bus service provides a fast link from the main campus and halls of residence to Wide Lane.
